Title: Lancias in Belgravia 8 October Post by: ColinMarr on 09 October, 2017, 01:12:15 PM The 96 Club’s monthly gatherings in Chesham Place Gardens continue to be agreeable events and yesterday it was a field day for Lancia. The star of the show was the Astura Special, which was there for a pre-view in advance of its formal unveiling later in the autumn. This is the ex Ronald (‘Steady’) Barker car that has undergone a 50 year major rebuild. Other Lancias attending at various times included: Aurelia B24, Flaminia, Fulvia Coupe, Flavia 2000 HF and no less than three Fulvia Berlinas, including FAY and the ever present KPD.

There was a good representation of Lancia from Astura through to Delta Evo. I counted ten Lancias including the 037 that made a fleeting visit.
Just two photos attached: an Aurelia 4th Series B20 looking gorgeous parked outside the event. I think this is the Will How, ex-Mike Matthews’s car. And the well known S1 Fulvia Berlina of Brian Hilton, which looked so elegant under dappled light from the tees that did odd things with the colour on my camera. Unusual photo of Fay, very nice. I took a lot of photos so I'll add a link later. Terrific show and a great day in a superb setting, it is indeed Will's ex Mike Matthews B20. Will has made a lovely job of the restoration, and the colour suits it. That one must stop the sump from being cooled!

Not really 100% sure if Fays number plate is legal but I've had it fitted for over 10 years and no one has ever queried it, so much neater although it's a motorbike front number plate size that doesn't quite fit in the holder, but it's near enough! Her's the link to my photos from Sundays show, not all of them Lancia's! The Bentley was stunning and your could near enough cut yourself on the razor edge top of the wings. https://photos.app.goo.gl/3hWq6kYfC5zMkrER6 Just a query, where has the list of 2018 events gone ??? ???
