Title: Re: FFFEAR2018 Now open for bookings Post by: Chris Hopkins on 23 September, 2018, 10:06:07 PM Dear Tim and Sarah, thank you very much for a very enjoyable weekend even though we were useless with regard to your Observation Challenges, it did not spoil a well organised event. A good venue with very friendly staff, fine food and interesting places to see.
We understand if you need a break, but hope it is not the last event you ever organise, Chris and Jan Title: Re: FFFEAR2018 Now open for bookings Post by: brian on 24 September, 2018, 07:42:10 AM Agree completely with Chris. Despite the poor weather it was one of the most enjoyable events we have attended. A very good choice of venues although I do not think we have eaten so much good food in such a short time.

Borrowed a super bit of kit which fits on the rad filler and is pressurised. Initially nothing seen with engine not turning. Started up and water pressure rose to 11psi and stayed there but when really warm water started dripping quite heavily from around the back of the water pump somewhere so looks like a new short hose and perhaps Barleaks. ?take off waterpump and overhaul. I sort of had hoped it was a head gasket as I am putting on new heads with new valve guides and valves to stop my smoking exhaust! I haven't looked at workshop manual yet but I would guess radiator out is best for access. I reckon I lose about a pint per 100mls. It is holding the water perfectly and reminds me why I always have some in my emergency kit.

I have heard that 2000 heads fit and give an instant increase in power, due to the bigger valves. If I had an 1800, that's what I would do! A few photos with a slight edit from the top of the Naze Tower (all Lancias and one Alfa) and Sunday lunch presentation from Justin and Sara.
