I think the square knob was used on the Monte, the Spyder had a round knob, same style.

You may be right Peter but i think it's the same as fitted to the 1600 HPE I had back in '84?

It could very well be, I have not been in a pre f/l HPE since 1980......
I have been looking for one recently without much success, all the HPE for sale appear to be later ones.

It's also the same as the 1978 pre 1st facelift S2 Coupe that I had.
