Coupe quarter light

I am starting to replace the quarter light rubber seals on my 1966 PF coupe and need to remove the quarter light itself. The top pivot is straight forward enough but the lower pivot is not. The quarter light is the simple one which does not have the round opening and closing knob but simply the chrome lever to lock it in place and is opened and closed by simply moving the unlatched window itself.
Do I have to remove the whole door card by using the screws which hold the chrome perimeter trim so as to remove the black vinyl head trim which hides the lower pivot mechanism?
Avoiding the removal of the door card would be nice but I feel that the this operation is needed.
Any help / advice on the job would be most welcome. My spares book only shows a later 1967 variant, so if anyone has the page showing the assembly then that would be great.
Many thanks

Please see a photo supplied by Roger Michie of how the bottom pivot joint is mounted.

Hi
I replaced the rubbers on my Flavia Vignale and it was a night mare! If they are not in too bad condition I would leave it. Cheers.
