OK so they are not exactly barn finds but the two Y10's I have been harbouring for the past 10/15 years are finally going to have to go.

No 1 is the C reg Fire that I drove for many happy mile during which time extensive chassis repairs were carried out which I think still hold good.
The car is on the button and drives ok but is very scruffy. In particular rust along bonnet front edge and top edges of lower rear panels.
Star feature is that it has a tow bar.

No 2 car is the Touring version.(1049cc engine same as Turbo) . This one is on the alloys and again will start and drive with some minor tinkling. It was driven into its current shed about a year ago.I have never had it on the road but drove it home when I bought it.

Anyway the sad fact is that they will both go to the scrap yard within the next 2/3 weeks unless there is any one out there daft enough to save them.

They go together with a virtually complete cars worth of spares.Everything except main body panels although the bonnet (rust free but damaged on one corner) and tailgate are there. This was a later car with the 1100cc engine---from memory.

Also available is drivers handbook and full workshop manual.

I expect to get about £100 from the scrap man so it is over to you!!!

PS this clearance is brought about due to serious ill health so I am not able to sort out any particular bits for any one but you are welcome to come and look for yourself.

I don't think I can get away with taking a whole car but if it comes to scrapping I would certainly salvage parts both for myself and other Y10 owners.

Wishing you well with your "serious ill health" Ben. Hope you find a good home for the Y10's.

Any photos on file?  I know someone even more vulnerable to such temptations than me.

Thanks for your best wishes Ian.

If you want to come and salvage stuff Frank you will have to get your skates on.
If you gave me a list I might be able to keep back parts from the car that is already dismantled.

The cars are in Yate near Bristol which you would know if you bothered to look at my profile!!l

The Y10 Fire was on the end of the row on the picture I posted 5th Jan 2019 and previously to that on 1st Dec 2012 under the heading My Little Pony which you can. find by back tracking through the Y10 section looking for posts started by " ben " It has not changed much.

I have done a salvage run to Yate. I can't accommodate whole cars but salvaged what I could, concentrating on rarer items. I seem to be able to either store things or work on things but not both so I am looking for victims to off load things to.
