Great Northern Weekend 2020- CANCELLED

It is with regret that the 2020 GNW has been cancelled. Following the spread of coronavirus and the Government guidelines & FBHVC press release of today (attached), we have no choice and have a duty to protect the health & safety of all our members which we trust everyone appreciates & understands.

I have sent a group Email to all those booked onto the event so hopefully no-one misses it.

The event will not run this year, however the Hotel is looking at revised dates for next year to which I will keep all informed, thanks.

Not unexpected but very disappointing. I was hoping the end of April would be just after the outbreak started to die down.

Do we need to contact the hotel individually to cancel debit card bookings?

PS -  Just found the booking email and see the statement below so presumably no need to do anything.

"please contact the hotel no later than two weeks prior to arrival to make your accommodation payment.  Should we not hear from you and payment is not received, it will be our understanding the accommodation is no longer required and your room(s) may be released."
