Stratos flying high
« on: 27 November, 2023, 07:05:07 AM »
In case people haven't realised, Seb Perez is currently running in second place overall, driving the Lancia Stratos in the Roger Albert Clark Rally (R.A.C Rally). The final day today sees the competitors in Kielder Forest before heading to the finish in Carlisle.

What a marvellous celebration of Stratos 50 it would be if Seb could bring the car home in this position, or even go one better!

Carl

It has been great to follow the updates on the YouTube channel and that Stratos sounds amazing.

Jinxed it. Retired on the last stage, 8 miles from the finish line whilst running in second overall. Bugger.

Seb retired on the last stage with mechanical issues. The look and sound of that car was a certain crowd pleaser.

Another Lancia taking part was the Graham brothers in a lovely Fulvia. The have done every Roger Albert Clark rally, this being the 20th, and had the honour of running at the front of the field.
The amount of spectators was amazing and the Stratos was certainly an attraction as was our Ascona 400.
we had been leading our class but 8 mile from the end of the last stage a Kielder ditch dampened our efforts! We did make it back to the final control and was classified as a finisher but dropped to 2nd in class.  It was all good fun but very hard work!!
