Letter in Viva Lancia!

I was disappointed to see in the January issue of VL! a letter saying disparaging things about a 1982 Delta 1500. It prompted me to dig out the attached photo of my 1981 1300 – sadly this is probably the only photo I took of it while waiting for a ferry to the Isle of Wight.

I owned it for two years up to 1987. I thought it was the cleanest of all the Giugiaro designs, but it rusted badly around the rear hatch and I doubt it survived much beyond my ownership. The seats trim was memorable – a soft brush fabric with two-tone grey check. – very nice.
