 Glad to see I'm not the only one
As my RM9 is based on the Moby & has the same engine they're cousins under the skin, in fact mine is supposed to be a RM9 but an expert thinks it's probably an RM9+1 which has a dual seat, rear footrests & larger spokes in the back wheel, so even closer to your Moby, waiting for another expert to confirm & then I'll be looking for a seat & footrests, as should be able to get the rear wheel upgraded.
Your Moby looks similar to an RM5.

Finally got my Raleigh RM9 back on the road, and took her for her first run on the road in 20+ years, going for Mot next tuesday, and on the sunday a road run with the West Anglian Cyclemotor Club, around Mid Bedfordshire.

after I saw the "top gear in vietnam" special where they rode from south to north 1500 miles on similarly low power steeds, I get the urge to attempt something similar.."Le Jog" on a moped perhaps?.great "fun".

Bikes Yes,I'm a  recently born again biker and delighted with my resurrected two wheeled career. I actually rode bikes for 10 years before I ever sat in a car, which of course makes you a better driver Anyway after an absence of 26 years, definitely older, and probably no wiser, but hopefully slower ,I bought a 30 year old Kawasaki z650 ,its in lovely condition and I started to like it so much that I hated getting it dirty and wet,so bought a 14 year old Suzuki 600 Bandit (you can't but help loving Jap 4 cyl air cooled engines) You get the drift,the three Lancias now share their bedroom with two bikes,and i have to say I had forgotten the thrill of two wheels. God help me if I fall off ,I'l be like an airfix kit with bits (bones) everywhere, only hope is someone will know how to put me back together again

I started out on bikes as well, back in the 50's it was a definite progression through pushbike, moped/ winged wheel, motorbike before working yourself up to a car, usually Onlythe Toffs, Doctors, crooks and business men who were able to afford new cars then.
I know it's sensible but I hate wearing a crash helmet and it's seems even more pointless when top speed on the Raleigh is only about 35mph with a following wind, whereas the boyos on their racing pushbikes can tear past me, and only have to wear one of the stupid looking cycle crash hats, perhaps I ought to get a turban

Nice to see the thread has picked up again  I was bought up with motorcycles, they have always been in the family, my first bike was a Royal Enfield Crusader super sports in 1974, it was not new, and did not last long, engine went bang Their motto was Built like a gun, they sure were right, have always had Brit since then , had a Triumph Trident T150V export , for about 9 years, then sold it and bought the present bike a 1999 Triumph Thunderbird Sports, the faster yellow one with the 2 pipes up the same side,( the other colours were slower) . will try and post piccys on here soon.
