spongy brakes on series 1

Just done a complete fluid change and bled all the brakes (series 1 Dunlop), following fitting new seals to cure a leaking brake cylinder but the pedal is very spongy and braking not very good at all. What to look at next - possibly master cylinder seals?

As Tim says, Keep bleeding, it takes a lot to get the air out but once out the dunlops are great brakes.
It might also be worth leaving overnight then have another go, as this helped with mine.

The simplest and most effective method is to use Easybleed (Gunson). Cheap and quick, regards, Andrea

Did someone not once suggest it is best to begin bleeding from the furthist corner working forward?

Well I've tried all of the above and it's only marginally better. Going for MOT on wednesday so I guess I might be leaving it with them to see if they can do better! No-one thinks it could be master cylinder related?

If the caliper seals were bad, it is also possible that the master cylinder ones are not very good or that some error was made when refitting all together. I confirm that the simplest way is to go to the nearest Halfords, buy Easybleed and try to bleed, starting from the front caliper. If it does not work, it might be the master cylinder. Andrea
