Hi Brian, Thank you for the offer of the manual. I am reserving judgement on what to do until I actually have the car back in Suffolk. I spoke to the man who looks after my wife's VW last week and he seemed quite keen to solve the problem. He has done work on both the Themas in the past with good results and he is so much closer than David. We'll see how the SW goes on Monday!
