Great day, but this and stratos scalextrix car was the only bit of Lancia I saw here today, Angry have some car pics too, I will download some later, over a 1000 cars on show and no Lancia's are we really that rare? Huh?

Yes, I think we are that rare. If you go to club events and trackdays you may not think so but head to any normal classic event and you'll struggle to find any others - but then it's a treat when you do ... Smiley

I took my HF to a show in Warlingham today and I was indeed the only Lancia there, I was surrounded by loads of Mustangs and blown Chevys etc which were getting plenty of attention by the crowd but one particular person made a bee line for my car smiling all the way, he had been a Lancia apprentice in the seventies working on the engines and was also taken along to the RAC rally as a support mechanic and had not seen a Fulvia in fifteen years plus, after a good chat he returned a bit later with a picture of himself in an immaculate Lancia workshop.

Went to Duxford today with "Fay" and the only other Lancia was Lancialan's Zagato, and we had already agreed to meet.
What I hadn't expected was that there would be flying going on, I arrived just as an F86 Sabre Jet was performing, very impressive, followed shorly afterwards by a display by a Spitfire and a Messerschmit 109, further displays by more spitfires including the Lady flying her 2 seater, later on the B17 "Sally B" took off but to my disappointment didn't comeback over.
nice day except for a bit of rain, lots of Motor Clubs as well as owners clubs.
Even better as I'm a member of "Friends of Duxford" so I didn't even have to pay Grin

That's at least four events mentioned over the last weekend (Croft, Woodbridge, Duxford & Betameet) all the weekend after the AGM. Pity, but there is only so much the Club and it's members can get to!

you can add at least two more to that weekend, both Ripley castle and Pickering.
Not suprised turnouts were down though with the terrible weather at present.

And Prescott, there were Lancias racing at Croft, will filter our images and post up when possible. Off to Nurburgring Thursday for their Old Timer GP that will make Silverstone look very amateur and overpriced. the weekend gets underway on Friday afternoon with 104 classics competing in a four hour marathon around the the 24km Nordshielfe circuit. Wonderful, with Friday ticket prices at just 15euro.
