I'm being selfish...Steve.... ;D...but having seen a few B20s in the flesh......they are so easy on the eye......and I would say a model of the Lancia range which would draw more members of the public to our stand.
I don't know the ins and outs of what space we are allocated or why, but we have way more interesting plus pertinent cars than lots of the mundane marques on display.
I am still on that vertiginous learning curve guys..........its about 10000 metres in height and I'm at 1.5 metres!!!!

Aurelias usually get their fair share of space on the stand at the NEC and it's unfortunate that they didn't feature this year, but as Steve said we have a lot of models that are interesting, so with the space limitations  it's just one of those things.

Frank

The space is allocated by the organisers, they base it on size of club and their perception of the popularity (crowd pulling potential) of the cars.
You only had to walk thruogh th "Ford" hall to see where they are comming from, also some clubs are heavily supported by manufacturers which has considerable influence.

In spite of this because of the consistant quality of our stands we get more space than some other clubs of a simmilar or even bigger size.  There was another Italian car club close by that has more members but gets a stand no bigger than ours.

As others have said the selection of cars can never please all our members with over 100 years of production to choose from.

Thanks for that Don....personally I think we should have had a whole hall to ourselves.......could have brought the restoration project along!

I wasn't displeased Don.......always interesting to see all the models and variations...:)

Well done - I couldn't make it to the NEC this year, but from the pictures, the variety of cars on display looked fantastic! - No other club can show quite the variety - and the quality - of cars that the LMC can. Again, well done to everyone who took the trouble to bring a car to the show

As always I'm the last to post photos :)

Great weekend! arrived Thursday morning to help set up the Beta display, spent 4 days at the show
and enjoyed every minute :D only heard the R word 3 times.

On the Beta stand the most asked questions I heard were: where can I buy one of these, and how much would I have to pay for one of these ;D
Great to see the LMC/Monte's and Beta's together again, all flying the Lancia flag

here is a small selection of the 100 plus picture I've uploaded to Flickr

Great memories - thanks to all.  I always remember the incredible transformation from empty hall to show - nearly all from voluntary effort and clubs.  Now, if we could organise something similar in Australia...  We have the cars, but I'm not so sure we have the venue - and we have to deal with the tyranny of distance.

Just to say in the Classics car mag they stated the Appia consortium van was bought by a group of enthusiasts, assume this was sometime ago and not recently or even sold at the show...its not clear

No, that was when it was acquired.  It is still owned by a consortium of people so far as I know.  I doubt the Appia Consortium would ever let it go willingly out of their hands!

My feeling regarding the improbability of the Appia Consortium relinquishing ownership of the vehicle is that at least one existing shareholder would want to buy it outright!! Probably there would be several non shareholders that would love to have a chance to own it.

That van, I  am confidant, will never stray far, if at all, from the Consortium or the Club.
