Much has been written about stratospheric prices being asked for Aurelias at dealers in Italy: 125.000 euros, even 150.000. (have you seen for how long those cars have been advertised?)

I still believe you can find good cars at "real" prices in today's market.
A look on autoscout24.it shows 2:
A nice B20 4th serie, which I cannot fault from the supplied photos, for 85'000 euros, and a B12 berlina, in Lancia blue for 24'000 euros, with redone engine but original interior.

One can of course argue that those cars were half the price 10 years ago, but if you want one today, you should check those two!

And with those cars, do your homework, and do not trust a few photos on the Internet...

Sebastien

There are indeed some stunning cars here at what look like reasonable prices. The blue Flaminia coupe at 18.500 Euro caused me to stop and think; but not all of the prices are so reasonable.. One and a half million Euros for a B20 anyone? See http://www.autoscout24.it/Details.aspx?id=187585835&sbs=ListEne

Here is a rare one, a Pinin Farina Aurelia B51.
Looks like a nice car.

Not the same car as the one that was shown at the Bonfanti exhibition in 2007, of which a photo appended.

How lovely! It looks like quite a good example but a shame to have no engine photos yet again.
I bet despite its size, it can perfectly well keep up with modern traffic on all roads except maybe a motorway.

It puzzles me where it says "This is a near perfect replica of the works car driven to victory in the 1953 Carrera PanAmericana by Juan Manuel Fangio"  Fangio drove a D24 to victory in the Carrera Panamericana, Also if it is a replica of a 1953 car it would have to be a 3rd series. This one is a 4th series. So to me it's not a perfect replica of anything!!

Regarding the B51, I have also seen a dark red one for sale in the last year or so and there was a two door version on a B50 chassis for sale as well.

Some more information from Paolo in Torino:-
The B51-1049 for sale on autobelle.it is the 1951 Turin motor show car, introduced at the PF stand with the B50 cabriolet lusso/speciale 2+2 (the black car for sale at Stolze some years ago). As you can see this car has a different steering wheel, different gauges, plain hubcaps (by Ruspa) and it had the whitewall tyres.

This car has my old racing seat and harness. I did some work on it a few years ago Used to be in the museum at Mondello. I'll not comment on the price, but.......
