Both the VIS & the 16v Thema passed their Mots this week with few advisories.

The 16v didn't have any; not too bad for a 22 year old! ;D

My Sport 1600 also passed yesterday with one advisory - slight play on bottom n/s ball joint. As I had the same advisory last year I had changed the ball joint (for a new one :D) so am perplexed. Cant feel anything wrong driving so will not be so keen to change this time and will wait for a failure. I mentioned this to my MOT man and he said it was only showing up on the suspension/steering waggle test but not when exercised by a bar. I reckon the waggle test is too strong for the ball joint support spring......
Its not the winning but taking part! or is it taking apart?

Glad to hear about the pass certificates!Do these advisories have to be acted upon in order to avoid a 'fail' next time round or can a further advisory be issue assuming there has been no further deterioration?richard

I am assuming the latter, but maybe someone else has experience of the former...
