That's not a fanalone, it's a fake. Been discussed many times on most forums, feel sorry for the buyer

It's an S2 bodyshell for starters, a 1300 I think! About the only Fanalone part on it is the tachometer. All the drivetrain is S2 including the steering, it has 14" wheels. None of which paints Bonhams specialists in a very good light. If any of that was mentioned in the advert I might be persuaded to be charitable and call it a replica.
It has appeared on the market several times in the last 10 years or so, first time I saw it was on Ebay in about 2004. There was plenty of discussion on Viva-Lancia at the time, subsequently it appeared at an auction in Monaco, and again a couple of years ago at an auction in France. An LMC member, can't remember who, travelled to the auction to look at another car and I'm pretty sure this car didn't sell. I do know that the auction house was made aware of this cars dubious parentage by several people from around the world.

So its a sort of beefburgers........actually being horseburgers........shame that it is being mis-represented, and why has it been allowed to happen by one of the most reputable auction houses in the world?

UFS 31H. I saw this car on the Longleat Rally in the late 80s? In the hands of Jeremy and Judith Hall. The car suffered damage to a front corner. It was also up for sale as an ex Jolly Club spare car at £4000? around 2000? along with an aluminium Fulvia Sport £1500 previously used on the Pirelli Marathon in 1989?. I bought my current Sport around the same time.

UFS 31H is pictured on page 101 of Autosport 2 May 1991, and in Thoroughbred and Classic Cars November 1989.

Hi Tim, I'm talking about UFS. Whatever it might have been at one time it certainly isn't now. Sticking a pair of Fanalone front wings on a hybrid S2 chassis does not a Fanalone make ! To then sell it as such and with reference to somewhat dubious works heritage is wrong in my eyes.

This car was in the Acturial auction at Retromobile 2011 (Paris), I looked it at and was obviously not a Fanalone, despite having the front end fitted to a S2 car, but it was being passed off as one, not sure it sold, I suspect not.
