Hello,
Just got my 1984 Coupe IE MOT'd and back on the road after six years. I would like to freshen up the front suspension.

Has anyone put Polyflex bushes on their wishbones and what difference did it make?

Also the 'bearing' that sits between the strut and the top mount had disintegrated on one side. This meant the strut didn't swivel with the steering, giving severe self centering when turning right!! Has anyone managed to find replacement bearings for this area? I've tried the usual sources without luck.

Any help, much appreciated!
Thanks
Clive

Hi Clive,
Alan Cooper  who is no longer a LMC member, has asked me to tell you that he has a good secondhand bearing that you can have.

Please contact him on alan.c.ia@ntlworld.com

Thanks Brian,

I've sent a message to Alan.

It would be good to get the steering back to normal. In the meantime I ended up using a thick plastic disc smothered in grease to allow some movement!

Best regards,
Clive

Hi Clive,
Pleased to help,
sounds like a superbly engineered bit work in proudest Heath Robinson Tradition, known to most motoring enthusiasts Grin
Hope you soon have it up to scratch.
