Ater reassembling found still a slight difference in brake power left to right.  I have a feeling this is just a running in issue, but seen I will not get plates on it without MOT, and can't get a MOT without driving quite a bit to get the brakes run in, but I' can't drive it without plates....who said Belgium was a developped country?Huh???

So in the end I now just fitted the well run in brake shoes from a spare axle and drums from same.  Now braking is fine, no pulling at het wheel anymore.

With regard to this a question: I found the brake shoes on the car to be marked 'A' and 'P', and those where wrong, making me suppose that for reason in the past the brake shoes were swapped from left to right.  I wonder now if this could affect the braking?

A and P wouldn't be anteriore and  posteriore maybe?

That's my thought exactly Chris,  but then they were the wrong way around.  On the spare axle they were correct, so that why it puzzled me why someone would swap them....
