Hi All

I received this on the database admin email - if anyone can help please post here or reply to me and I'll forward on the contact details:

We are a enterprise, dedicated to old cars rebuild, and at this moment we need paint the body, but we would like respect the original color.
In last weekend I talk with Sir Matthias Hinz, and he give-me your contact because, eventually you are a possibility to indicate-me the original color of my Aurelia B20, 3rd Serie with chassis number nnnn, of year 1953.
I would like know too, if you have possibility send me the exterior color (body) and color of seats the seats.
I'm thankful for your help.

There is some information about body colours and paint type in the 6th edition of the Aurelia Workshop Manual edited by Paul Mayo and published by the LMC. For further information it is probably a good idea to ask the Fiat archives in Turin.

I hope to be finalising my own paint choice in a few weeks time.......will be sticking to original shade, wasn't so keen to start with but then saw a few Lancias of the period in same shade, wow!

The OP from Portugal wanted to know the original color of his car, and interior.
He should ask the Registro Aurelia, which has the relevant info.

Massimo Castagnola at Fiat's historic archive will supply build sheet details (for 45 Euros).

It should be borne in mind that there were several blues, and greys, so the information Fiat supply might not be definitive. Interior should be clear though (almost certainly either grey or brown wool cloth with corresponding vinyl).

massimo.castagnola@fgm-cc.com or
centroarchiviostorico@fiatspa.com

This is a super-efficient service, and the owner should have the details in a couple of days at most.

Here's an example of the kind of information that is provided:

-------
Dear Mr. Corke,

here are the information available in the original register of production of Lancia Aurelia B20

Coupé with chassis B20*2959:

manufactured :11/6/1954, body color blu, interior rag (panno) grey, body (scocca) n. 002000,

engine (motore) n.3640, differential gear (differenziale) n. 1083, suspension ant. ( sospensione ant.)

n. 1991, drive box (guida) n. 2033.
