Just a quick little 'hello' and thanks for the help in finding this car. Hopefully it will be parked on the drive Monday evening then the work can start....

If anyone is looking to buy the one at auction at Brooklands, its worth noting that it has the wrong dash.

Its a 1963 car so should have the ribbon speedo. Only a small point but worth knowing, it does look nice though, and i don`t believe it will be that cheap.

It wasn't that cheap. Recorded as sold for £13,440 on the Historics site.

And the 'competition' Aurelia B20 estimated at an eye-popping £150,000 - £180,000 didn't sell. I like the way that Sports Car Market describes  this kind of pricing as being 'ahead of the market', as if all the market ever does is rise.

Also the Fulvia did not sell and the Delta HF Turbo went for £7.7k.

From a distance it appears to me that the only cars that did sell at Brooklands were the good examples of the model/marque which had reasonable guide prices. I would be interested to know what the B20 max bid was?

B20 at Brooklands started at £80k on commission and slowly went to £100k then quickly moved on to next lot, as no interest at that price.
