Hi,
I am trying to find stalk switchgear for my '81 Spider and wondered if anyone could help with one. Mine has developed a short circuit or two, and I wanted to sort this fault before putting the car away for the winter. Any help would be much appreciated.
Regards,
Chris
P.S. I am still looking for a few other Spider parts - please see my earlier topic.

Which stalk is it or are you wanting the complete beta unit?

Hi,
It's the whole unit. Do you have anything that might fit the bill ?

I have in the past dismantled a series 1 / pre first facelift series 2 Beta column stalk assembly and fixed wonky connections but you have to be careful with the dismantling or spring loaded bits ping out all over the place. I admit getting a replacement unit is more straight forward if you can find one.

Thanks chaps for coming back to me. I can imagine that taking the stalk assembly to bits could be a nightmare - I probably wouldn't have the skill required to do it successfully, but thanks for the offer lancialulu. Thanks for painting the picture frankxhv773t, but I wouldn't have an idea where to start looking for a new unit. I have a possibility of a s/h one, just being tested.
Cheers, Chris

not like my spare which was same as Gamma but with the knobs swizzled round 180. Looks more like a Delta??

Hi
Yes, the connectors are different to the one I have off an X plate Spyder as well as the legend on the washer knob being upside down.

Sorry for the red herring. I have only had pre first facelift Betas in recent years.

Thank you very much chaps for these. It looks to me as if the new unit on eBay has simply been placed upside down, and the headlight stalk twisted right round from off position to dip/full beam. Peter is exactly right about the connectors being wrong for my car though and the pic he sent me is just like mine in every way (thanks Peter).
Regards,
Chris
