Hello all.

My Aprilia is missing its battery and I'd appreciate some advice on its replacement.

I want to have one in place for when the car arrives with me.

I believe the type I need is a 501 hard case.

I have found a battery, but am asking whether the following specifications are suitable.

CAPACITY AT 20 HOUR RATE............. 117 AH

TERMINAL TYPE ...............................T1

LENGTH ..........................................225MM

WIDTH............................................173MM

HEIGHT...........................................210MM

TOTAL HEIGHT..................................235MM

NEAREST DIN TYPE...........................10211

LID TYPE..........................................BAR

SIZE................................................501/17TALL

Any advice is appreciated.   Thank you.

Thank you for that Cesare. I'm grateful. I've updated my request above a little. I've actually found a battery i THINK is suitable, but am wondering about its physical size

and the A/H figure.

I've heard of 90 A/H batteries being fitted, but not as high as 117 A/H. Also, as I said, I don't know whether the one quoted above will actually fit. It's inconvenient not having the car here yet, but as I said, I want to have a battery in place for when it arrives.  Thanks again.

Thank you. I used them years ago. I'd forgotten all about them. I'll give them a shout.
