Possible article for AutoItalia magazine

While having lunch with Martin Buckley and Michael Ward last week we came up with the idea of Martin doing an article on Appias. He rather likes them since he owned a SIII briefly a year or so ago. We thought that it would be good to have a photoshoot with an example of each series - all berlinas. We thought that ideally we should have a black SI, a grey SII and a white SIII but that's just a first thought. Would anyone be interested in volunteering their car? I have a white SIII but we don't have to use mine. Location would tend to depend on where the cars are coming from but the Cirencester area could be good. What you get in return is an enjoyable day out and a DVD with high definition versions of Michael's photographs of the cars on it - and he is very good at photographing cars so it's a nice thing to have. We are aware that John Pressnell did a similar article in the April 1994 edition of "Classic and Sportscar" but that was a long time ago and a different mag.

Nice concept. Charles, let me know if you need help in sourcing potential cars for this. Bet Alan Wesson would like to be involved as an Appia afficiondo but is/are his Appia(s) in the UK....

They have done it before, but some time ago. It was organised by Don Cross.
