How to find original colour of car?
« on: 17 May, 2017, 10:46:15 AM »
Hi All

Received this via email, anyone provide pointers/what other information is required?

Thanks

Peter

"Hi,

I am trying to find out the original colour of the above car which I am in the process of restoring, currently it is green but underneath this it looks like it could have been silver, it is one of only 5 right hand drive cars made and is a late 1963 model.  I have a log book and various other bits of information about the car, but not the original colour.  It would be great if you could point me in the right direction to find this out.

Many thanks
Kind regards

Lindsay Marshall"

Its possible to get basic information from FCA here for €20: https://www.fcaheritage.com/it-it/servizi-classici#lancia

Heres what they could give me for my Flaminia:
-              Model
-              Type
-              Production date
-              Exterior color
-              Interior
-              Body n.
-              Differential n.
-              Gear box n.
-              Anterior Suspension  n.

It takes time for them to get back to you - in my case it took them 3 weeks..

Cheers

I have tried to complete this form for my Fulvia Sport, however it won't let me change the country, rejects my phone number and my address, is there any way of getting around it without being an Italian resident? Please can someone advise thanks.

I have not had any success either although I know members who have but they seem all to have pre-Flavia Lancia models.

Has anyone had success with either a Fulvia or flavia?
Its not the winning but taking part! or is it taking apart?

I tried to find an easy link to request a production certificate from the above website. I found a generic phone number that I tried to call from.the U.S. but couldn't get through. Does anyone have a better contact for.the FCA archives?

May I also ask I the FCA archive just gives a generic colour for the car or does it give Lancia's name for the particular shade?
