Lancia Beta Spider, Lancia Fulvia Zagato

« on: 07 August, 2017, 08:02:07 AM »

My Fulvia Sport has not moved in several years and now is the time for a restoration. Firstly if anyone can recommend a restorers fairly local (Essex/Kent) I would be most obliged, also I'm not sure if the engine is seized or not,is there any products I can put down the bores in advance of a turn over by hand. She has been a great car to use in the past and I wouldn't want to let the deterioration get much worse
I can hear the members screaming "why did you let it get this bad in the first place!"
Sorry!

It certainly hasn't got the same wheels, the mirror is a circular chrome one, I'm not sure about the seats they are coloured red whereas I think when you owned it they were blue
But it has done me sterling service and I really want to get her/him back up and running

When I owned it the seats were black (although it did have a pair of blue 3 point harnesses in) standard 1300 Sport items, the headrests and wheels were 'borrowed' from a 1600HF project I also had at the time. I returned it to standard spec when I sold it in about 1986. It went to someone living in Mid Wales.
I often wondered what happened to it and am glad to see it is still around. How long have you owned it?

I've had it since about 1996,we had several trips to Italy with it. The fellow I bought it from had done some work on it the previous owner changed the seats and carpets to red. I was fortunate that the late Peter Pompelli lived near me so he was able to help in a big way, but now she is looking rather sad and some major tlc is required then hopefully we will be back on the road for 2018
