Hi all
I want to paint the cromodora wheels silver on my 1300 S3, its coming close to completion, as the pic shows. The last owner painted them black... Does anyone have any idea regarding the correct paint colour silver?
thanks Keven

I was told by Omicron a few years ago that they specify
RAL9006 White aluminium
for Cromodoras. Make sure your wheel refurbishing specialist does a proper blast, coat, bake, lacquer, bake procedure, as they ‘may’ be magnesium alloy.

That looks really good. Very clean and simple. I like the chrome surrounds on the valance slots. Always been tempted by those but hate drilling more holes than I have to. I'm right in thinking each has two nuts holding them in place?

Yes using the supplied nuts on threaded fittings would involve drilling, but would result in the need to drill. I wouldn't drill them, cut off the threads and carefully bond then in using clear silicone. Keven

That's a good solution. One thing you might be interested in for the future - when I had my mine repainted the piece of bodywork between the bottom of the grille and the stainless trim was painted silk black. I didn't specify this but it made such a difference to the look. In effect, everything within the stainless trim at the front end is now black and it's amazing how such a simple thing can really tie the whole thing together. I've attached a photo so that you can see the effect.
