well solved the brake problem, now onto the engine & exhaust.
The engine appears to have a small oil leak at the front, is there anything i can get to seal it??
& i've found the hole in the exhaust that's making such a racket, again is there anything i can get to seal it??
cheers guys!
Now come on Mark! whereabouts on the front do you have an oil leak
most oil leaks come from the front cam cover gasket, or possibly from the cam box to head gasket, the first is easily fixed, the 2nd isn't. and whereabouts is the exhaust leak? if its from the main body of a box then you might be able to get away with an opened out tin can, some Gun Gum & soft wire to wrap around it to hold in place
can't remember if you have a Kat car, if you have a Kat it's easier & cheaper in the long run to replace the assembly from the Kat back, I found one last year through ebay from a German motor factors, the brackets weren't quite right but it fitted with a bit of tweeking, cost £57 including delivery by UPS. this was considerably cheaper than the last pattern part I had bought for one of my other Dedra's in the UK, & the quality was well up to the same standard.
If it's a non Kat then you can change it all the way forward to the front pipe.
If it's the front pipe blowing it's probably the flexible section that's come apart, it is possible to get this section replaced, or change the whole thing.
While I'm on Dedra parts, I've just been hunting around for a Dedra SW 2.0 integrale (non Turbo) owner from Norway, somewhere to buy new rear calipers or someone to overhaul them.
Came up with a UK company at a cost per rear caliper of £81 +Vat each.
If anyone needs the information please let me know.
