Hi
I’m trying to replace my fulvia s2 gearbox mount as they are past there best. I don’t seem to be able to open up the gap to remove the upper mount has anyone got any tips to help please.
Thanks in anticipation.

If you can, take the 4 bolts the top mount silent block and deal with it on the bench... soak heat etc.
you might need to move the coil and clutch cable out of the way, and possibly loosen the top 2 bell housing bolts so the mounting gets loose.

Its not the winning but taking part! or is it taking apart?

Hello,
thanks for your replay, it's the two mounts on the side of the gearbox I'm trying to replace. Should I still remove the silent block, I did wonder if that's what is stopping the movement I need to get the new mount in?

It's sandwiched. You can take the top bracket off the gearbox. I assume you have undone the big bolt and the sub sub frame? Dont undo the centre mounting and support the mid point of the gearbox.
