New Delta in Autocar
«

Autocar is promising a major feature on the new Delta in
next week's
issue. Since its pitch is that this is the car that will lead Lancia back into the UK, and that this will be a detailed specs piece, we may find out a little more about UK specifications, prices and arrival dates?

The issue of Autocar featuring the Delta is out now! The article does not really say much about UK specs or a launch date (other than it will be available from selected Alfa dealers for early 2009), but it suggests that prices may be a bit cheaper than the Audi A3 and about the same as the Volvo V50.
The magazine also has in the news articles a report that the Fulvia is set for a revival, and my be shown at the Paris motor show in September.

'First half of 2009' is about as accurate as it gets, and I think they are still confused about the marketing strategy. Suggests a starting price of £16k but also suggests that at this price, Lancia may choose to spec up the Delta, for example with standard leather trim.
