Can anyone tell me what these holes are for, two on the inside wheel well arch on both sides. The lower drivers side looks to have been a hold down for something but I don't know what. Or maybe a past owner put these holes in for something? Any help would be appreciated. I'm either missing things or I need to close these holes up. Thanks. Car is a '69 S1.

Thanks Richard. Do you have a picture showing how this should be mounted and where the breather tubes go?

Andrea, which holes specifically? Do they get plugged when not in use? Should the holes not be the same on each side?

On rhs on top of the inner wing should be a plastic breather box. The breather pipe from this box exits through the floor along side the drain pipe from the filler pipe enclosure. These are c12mm cavis benz clear plastic piping.
The lower hole on rhs I have always assumed was part of jigging for manufacture. On lhs the photo is not very clear but could have been to do with mounting of an electric car aerial?

In the boot there are several holes normally not plugged for injecting antirust solution into the space near the inner wings. On the righthand side near the filler tube there are also holes to fix the petrol breather system. Andrea

Thanks Richard. Do you have a picture showing how this should be mounted and where the breather tubes go? Only this to go with previous posts. Richard
