The gear lever on the Ardea has a rubberised collar where the lever sits in the gearbox selector . Over the years this has become perished and the lever is now quite "floppy".....

I was thinking of pouring into the gap a rubber (or silicone) compound that will set in place

Does anyone have any experience of these mixes ? I have seen silicone packs on Amazon for making molds, but I think that these are a bit soft because most seem to have a Shore hardness of 20
