We have been approached (at Brooklands AutoItalia day) by a gentleman who has inherited his late sisters car.

Basic details below

Lancia Beta 2000 saloon Series II 1980 W reg.
1 owner car originally supplied by Tony Brooks
Last MOT expired 2 – 3 years ago (exact date not known)
Automatic box and 44,000 on the clock which I’m certain is right.
Bodywork pretty good in light metallic blue
Comments on bodywork; It looks like offside sill has been replaced at some time. Nearside sill will need minor attention soon (maybe for MOT?) Front lower wheel arch edge a bit rough. Rear lower wheel arch also has some scabbing nowhere near to major work but small and unsightly, the jacking point on this corner has moved up at some time but again still appears to be all metal.
Tyres have good treads on standard saloon type alloys which are dirty but generally in good condition.
Interior in excellent condition in line with mileage light blue check cloth
Has sunroof but I have not tried opening it.
N/S door bottoms have been sprayed with an aerosol I can’t see why (this is worse bit appearance wise on car)
Engine ran well and brakes pull straight (pretty good after standing for a couple of years)
It has new rear struts fitted and looks like a newish alternator
All the electrical equipment appears to work correctly (again not bad after 2 years out of service!!!)
It needs a new exhaust certainly rear box, new boot lid strut not test item just a nuisance, (and possibly a little work to N/S sill for MOT)
Fuel pump is noisy but fuel level very low when I looked at car.
Some stamps present in the service book, but not much documentation at present although there is possibly some to be found in previous owners house.
See 4 photos attached I would have taken more but camera battery was flat, If you need more contact me and I’ll go and get some more.
This car is far too good to be broken or used as spares and it will be sold ‘as seen’ as a potential road going car with minimal work required
Price has not been discussed other that I have said the car will not be worth a large sum, particularly as it could well cost around £300 to get the car through an MOT
I’m acting as the sellers contact on this so if anyone has questions or needs more information or wants to view please contact;

Dale Hicks Tel 01932 844221 (talk to the machine and I’ll pick up if I’m at home)
Alternatively dale.hicks@honeywell.com

Any news on whether this rare beastie has found a new home?

If it's not been sold I'm sure it'd like to go a live with its other Berlina siblings in Tiddlywink.
