Can't help but think this was always going to happen, but is not a good result.  The FIA has already seemed on many occasions to be rather too pro-Ferrari, and this is hardly likely to help.  Moreover, I sense 'more of the same' which given what has gone before, is not positive.  Vatenen seemed like breath of fresh air, which is, of course, why the old men of the FIA ensured he didn't get the job.

Hopefully his days rallying with Peugeot will give him a balanced approach, not all in prancing horses favour.   I did like the idea of Ari V being the new president.

And surprise surprise his appointment was backed by a certain Mr M Schumacer Roll Eyes
