I am looking into getting a new steel lid made to a pattern supplied via Omicron - a pretty rotten original but sufficient for a skilled panel basher I think.  There are one or two people I can try or Omicron themselves have evinced an interest in making a lid or two.  Anyone else in need?

Hi David!
I'm interested in a new boot lid, as mine isn't too good. Any idea as to the cost? Obviously dependent on numbers required.

Regards,
Tim

depending on price could be interested, bill lewis could probably make them, he used to make all the panels for omicron at 1 point, his work is excellent

Hi,

I was wondering if any progress had been made on this topic, has the boot lid been made yet?
Sorry I`m a bit behind on this, as I hav`nt been on the forum for a while.
If anyone`s got a boot lid fabricator on the go then I too would be interested.
Mine resembles a net curtain at the moment.

My apologies to everyone, I have not done anything much yet but, as there is interest I'll get on and try a few folk locally.

There are a couple of Australian Aprilia owners who would be interested in new bootlids. Would it be possible to have an indication of what the cost might be?.
On a slightly different topic, were any UK cars delivered with plain bootlids without the number plate recess?.
At least a couple of Australian delivered cars had this feature. I suspect Shields Motors (the local distributor) ordered them like this. to accomodate the local number plates.

Cheers

I had hoped to make a bit of progress in December but the snow fell and the roads froze and currently have 2" of ice on them.  One of the possible makers is in Shap, temperature last night-10C.  I might well wait until the spring now but I have not forgotten!  I am also a bit disheartened by a noise in my nice new engine and it is TOO COLD to get into the workshop to identify it!!
