Legends Boucles de Spa 18/19 Feb 2011

The Legends Boucles de Spa is a demonstration event for late rally cars run under FIA regularity rules in two classes, Legends and Classic with a total entry of 250 cars. For two days the rally takes over the town of Spa with one stage running directly through the centre both in the dark and daylight. Among the many Lancias on a list including Fulvia and Beta will be the well-known Stratos of Steve Perez. www.retro-speed.co.uk will be reporting directly from Rally HQ and I will endeavour to post some relevant  images during the beginning of next week.

The red Beta Monte Carlo driven by Van De Wauwer finished fifth overall but Steve Perez, Stratos broke its gearbox and failed to finish. Steve assures us the Stratos will be at Race Retro. Vatanen was happy to chat before the event. Couldnt resist including my picture of the sideways Volvo.
