Ten thou' (which is quarter of a turn on the adjusting screws from zero as they have a 1mm pitch thread)

I hesitate to contradict the "Bible" but the factory data in the table cited by GG doesn't seem to say anything about the engine being hot.
I have always set mine at 10thou cold. Maybe they don't change much!

Thank you. Just what we wanted to know.
For "Bible" read English translation of the Italian manual. I presume it was issued with a new car as it is in English (translated by Italians?) and refers to tables and diagrams in the Italian language manual.

Just rifling through my Aprilia files I have a data sheet that states HOT 10 thou.
I now know what to do when I start my first full Aprilia service. I assume this is every 5000 miles??
