I know beauty is said to be in the eye of the beholder, but i'm afraid this one is too ugly for it's own good. I wonder what they fed it on, but does anyone know what it is? Brian 8227  |

My guess is a post-war Aprilia; there are some styling cues that point to Boneschi as the coachbuilder, but I can't find this particular car, so I could be wrong...

If it is they forgot to provide the holes on top of the wings to allow removal of the front suspension damper rods.

Have a look at the hubcaps - do they look Aprilia to you? As for access to the front suspension damper rods I'd think that the bonnet would be covering those access panels?

The split-screen was pretty much up-to-date - curved glass was very much a feature of the future; think RMA Riley, Standard Vanguard, XK 120 Jaguar and split-screen Morris Minor, for example. Most Yanks featured the split-screen, whereas most of continental Europe, including the Aprilia and Ardea, still had a flat single-pane screen. |
