Fulvia thermostat

After reading a few concerning reports of thermostat removal I just wanted to share my experience. The old thermostat required a 45mm ish spanner and the new one 41mm. Which is probably why I experienced difficulty getting the top hose on a while back.

Anyway I had a 1 13/16 AF x 1 5/8 AF combination spanner which was perfect for the new and the old one. Very jammy!

You're the first person I've known who has had it  this easy since I bought my first Fulvia in 1997, the gods were certainly looking over your shoulder favourably.

Thanks Brian,

Very lucky by the sounds of it. 20 minute job. The needle on the dial now sits perfectly on 70 when warm. The old one read about 75-85.

Did you see my Fulvia on Car SOS tonight? They used it as the demo car..

Yes I did it looked lovely, I had a 1.3 Rallye the same as the red one fantastic car, I've had my 2c Berlina since 1997, but had to decided which one to keep back in 1999, as I couldn't afford to keep both!
Did you tell them how to drive yours? , as to say it's underpowered was an insult, did they not know you have to rev a Fulvia, I've only got 1091cc with my 2c, and they wouldn't say that if they drove mine like I do!

Yes I thought that, It didn’t cross my mind to explain how to drive it, I just assumed he knew! It was a good day out though and they and the crew were all good fun.

I actually haven’t seen the whole episode just clips my brother recorded on his phone, did they do a good job on the restoration?

Excellent and they got rid of the sun visor and the boot luggage rack
