Having looked at the job and if I need to, I shall use my spare rear axla with bearings already fitted. Richard

Fortunately the spare axle came with the car, thanks to Alan. I think I was one of the very few who showed an interest in the PF (two AGMs ago) the photo attached shows my first view of the car(thanks to the LMC member who took the shot). On the subject of sales interest or lack of it, I am now using my Fulvia Sport once more which I shall report in the Fulvia section. MOT passed today and insured for 96 quid with Carole Nash. A nimble car which can fly along even at just over 2000rpm. I think it is probably going to enjoy being used more regularly. Following a service in the workshop first outing will be to Hastings, which is one of it's old haunts, which is a nice 35 mile trip, and Brands July x2 , although the Flaminia needs to go at least once as well. That's the first time I've seen one look compact.
Great photo.
Delighted to hear the Zagato is stretching its legs.

I see what you mean David. This one from the other thread gives me the impression of a medium sized car (and the second one compares to a small FIAT)

There's the fact that a Transit van looks small next to a modern Range Rover.
Where a Fulvia Coupe used to be "normal" it now seems a really compact wee thing.
Have you a photo of yours in a supermarket car park or somewhere similar? I'd expect it to be dwarfed next to a big people carrier (Galaxy, Sharran) but does it look tiddly next to "normal family car" like a Honda CRV or a Citroen Picasso? Maybe a Focus makes it look small...

Perhaps BMW should start to use the name Maxi, if they have the trademark like they do for Mini, 'cos they ain't mini!

OK, well "off topic" now but yes, that's mine. MOT'd on Tuesday. I am supposed to be concentrating on my Flaminia though, so I should really put it in VL "cars for sale" next available issue. I had just been on a visit to the local Harley Davidson (Aylesford)showroom, where it caused a couple of staff to come out of the adjacent Fiat dealership to take photos.Richard
