They would be a great addition to the LMC's tools collection, but I suspect there's not enough Y10's left to justify the cost. Brian 8227

I can't see anything that says Y10 on the pictures - just "Special Tools" and "Thema" ?
ah, no my mistake , the top left "panel" says Y10 - but only that one

I suspect the club already has some/most of these but I could be wrong. I have asked the committee for guidance on this, and also if the club is willing to make this expenditure. Lets see.

It would be a lot easier to determine what is, and what isn't there if the tools were hung in there correct places on the boards. Brian 8227

These are more a 'collection of generic tools for Fiat/Lancia models of the late to mid 80's' than a collection of 'Lancia' tools. Fiat issued tools to workshops initially when a dealership was set up, and then as new models or update were required. They would also supply the 'pegboard' and required 'stickers'. Most, if not all of these tools would not ever have been used by workshop personnel. The reason being, is that they were too 'specific' for certain applications. For instance, the large circular type pliers to the bottom right of the photo. These are for clamping CV boot clips. They only worked, when using the genuine original cv boot clip, as supplied under the original part number. Unless you have the correct clip, the tool is of no use. There was a different sized too for each CV joint. Other tools would be reamers and cutters for things like valve guides, again specific to each cylinder head. Most mechanics would have used their own tools rather than the one supplied, as invariably when you went looking for something, you'd get half a dozen different sizes. Stuff like locking tools for cam belt changes or such like are worth having, but I'd lay odds that the 'good stuff' is not there. I have boxes of tools from Fiat I've collected over the years at the various dealerships I've worked in, most of then have never been used.

I don't see a lot of use in this collection, as kevin says Most of the tools seem to be specialist tools. I work on my Thema on a regular basis with a collection of standard tools , the only special tool I have is the one for setting the tension on the balance belt and the timing belt and I don't see it there.
