Having been a little disappointed by the GpB demo round Goodwood circuit (perhaps just wrong place or wrong day) I'm wondering just where is the best place to see something like that...  The Goodwood special stage is a bit tight and slippy aside from the terrible dust and poor views.

An event I keep missing is the Stratos gathering at Abingdon.

I also have never quite made it to the Castle Coombe rally day.

What's the Silverstone special stage like?

I'm interested in both how well the cars suit the venue and how "press on" the drivers are...

Stratos replicas have a parade lap at Silverstone on the Sunday I believe.

It's been a while since we've done the Abingdon Carnival in any numbers.

By far the best place to see Stratos, 037, S4, Integrales, Fiat 131 Abarths, Fiat 124 Abarths, Opel Kadetts (the unusual car is a Mk1 Escort!) is Rally Legends, San Marino, Italy in September.

Lots of cars being driven the way they were intended to be driven. Highly recommended! Plus the drive down and back is great with the Stelvio Pass on the way!

It will never replace the real thing, but with the speakers turned up, this may help with your treatment until you can get a fix in the flesh

Good tip on that event - now added to my "maybe one day" list.

I've watched that film a couple of times before.  Really excellent...

Hi David. There is currently no rally stage at Silverstone. This may change! There will be one at Donington Festival and at Oulton park Gold Cup. There was no flying lap at Goodwood because the circuit had no insurance. Everyone, including the drivers were p.....d off.
