Slow but rough

« on: 26 April, 2014, 07:58:16 PM »

Hi
advice sought on some stuff to cure this damn rust I will be cleaning up under the bonnet when I have finished the wiring on my series 1 and was wondering if anyone has any tips on some good brush on rust killer/undercoat paint. while I am waiting for some new cable to hove into view I got very bored and had to do a job I have been putting off.. I would much rather be doing the wiring ..never mind I will be able to test the camera soon.

cure rust imho is just junk and a waste of time, clean it paint it seal it from air and it wont rust further , as I've said on here before most cure rust products cause micro blisters with modern paints at a later stage, if you do go down the cure rust route jenolite works well at eating rust out, if you brush it on and wire brush it before it "cures" it does remove rust to a degree, j
