Brightwells auction of Stondon motor Museum Contents
« on: 16 April, 2015, 09:38:34 PM »
The whole collection of the Stondon motor Museum that closed for good on Easter Monday, is coming up for sale with no reserve starting on the 29th April, part 1 will include 60 motorcycles.
The 2nd Part is on the 10th June and is to include over 140 Motor Vehicles.
There is only one Lancia, a series3 Fulvia Coupe, which would make a good/Easy restoration project.
But there are lots of other interesting vehicles in the auction.

Like Brian I live close by and have visited many times over the years. A friend of mine was even their mechanic for a number of years. This was an eclectic mix of cars with a lot of mundane models but it was fascinating seeing them together and taking a trip down memory lane. I expect a lot of them were gathered up at the "needs work but too good to scrap" stage of their lives.

Many of the cars I would class as sound restoration projects. The Volumex HPE had disappeared on my last visit but the Fulvia Coupe was still there. I had a sneaky feel under the cills.....as the Kellogs advert goes "They're Crunchy".

A lot of the bikes on the other hand looked seriously desirable.
