Tyre Pressure

Just got my Flavia Coupe back on the road after after a few years and have been experimenting with different tire pressures.  Tires are Vredestein Sprint Classics in the recommended size of 165-15.  The period Autocar review I have of the coupe recommends 27 psi front, 30 rear but I find that makes the steering way too heavy even at speed.  Considering 30 psi all round.

Interested to know the tire pressures being used by other members.

I use 28.5psi front and back as recommended by Lancia or slightly higher if going on a long fast run. Tyres are Michelin XZX 165 15 82. I do not find the steering at all difficult even at slow speed.

Good old thirty all round, steering should be pleasantly light once on the move.

As you are probably aware, there is no caster adjustment on the Flavia.
I have been told that the caster effect built into the suspension is somewhat sensitive to tyre pressure because the effective point of contact of the tyre moves as the pressure is changed and as speed increases. ( A bit like the distortion of car tyres shown in cartoon comics).
I have found that 31 psi in the front tyres (Hankook) gives acceptable lightness coupled with good self-centering action.

To update on my settled pressure:  I went with 30 front and rear and am happy with the steering weight and handling.  Thanks all for the advice.
