Brian - good tip !!!

A friend went through all sorts of grief with just that issue putting a Scimitar back on the road.  Took AGES to work out just what was going on.

I had a collapsed front hose on Jackys B24S Convertible last year. The symptom was unequal front brakes and I have to say it took me a while to find it after adjusting brakes, bleeding brakes and checking drums several times without success.
We live and learn.

For once a pleasant surprise - started her up this morning and smoke cleared - must have been brake fluid sucked into a cylinder - running sweetly and cleanly now!

A rare delight - she cured herself!

...and if you rebuild the servo but leave the internal pushrod a little too long it will also lock the brakes (Quick fix to get you home - undo the brake pipe connector and release the pressure - then do it up again but do not use the brakes unless you HAVE to).
