I see that Chris 'was' selling a Bolster steering lock - http://www.lancia.myzen.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=9478.0
I have one too, but I don't have a spare key, which is a little worrying.

Does anyone know where I can get a spare key cut or locate a key blank?
I was told that the Bolster key code was BLO1 - but the key that arrived in the post yesterday has a different profile to the actual key I have.
That particular supplier only lists one Bolster key so that avenue appears closed.

Cheers

It might be worth a visit to Timpson the high street shoe repair people.
Just had a spare set of keys cut for the Fulvia.
£6.00 per key

I will be getting a spare key cut for my 2nd  Bloster steering lock at our local ferramenta (IRONMONGERS) fairly soon which I will be fitting to our 'new' GT so when I do, I will get you a spare blank if you wish.
The Bloster lock is in the UK at the moment and I wont be back there for a couple of weeks hence the delay.

BTW the cost for something like this here in N Italy is €3 max per key including cutting of course.

I'm stunned that it is as simple as going to Timpsons (for the main keys at least).

Still, Chris, I'll take your offer and you can add it to my 'order' :-)

Cheers all

Blank key obtained from my local Ferramenta as well as a spare cut key for my new Bloster lock for the Fulvia GT.
Total cost €3 and with a smile. Vince's key will be posted to him next week when Jacky is popping back to London for the day.

Absolute necessity Neil I would have said. They are even more effective when the aluminium blanking plugs are hammered in on top of the allen key headed bolts.
And they are not bad looking either.
I was amazed no S1 Fulvia owner bought my spare Bloster…..and now I can fit it to our 'new' acquisition.

Hi all

Similar to ENZ6493, I too have a Bloster steering lock (on my S1 Fulvia), but only have a single key and would like to get a spare cut.

I've tried to find one, but came up against the same as the original poster, in that blank with code BLO1 is not the correct profile.

You wouldn't happen to know the key code for the blank that was purchased?

Thanks in advance

If you want me to get you a spare key cut in Italy drop me a pm and I will send you my UK address to send the key to ' 2nd Class to be signed for'.
I return to the UK every 4 weeks or so and I will post the original and the new one back to you using UK 2nd Class to be signed for, all at cost.
Up to you.

I should also have said that there are at least 2 types of Bloster key blank so its not as simple as buying a load of blanks here and bringing them back to the UK to be cut.
Hence my offer to get them cut in Italy.

Thanks for the information Chris.

I was chatting to my local (independent) locksmith, who I had cut the duplicate ignition, boot, petrol flap keys for my S1 about the steering lock and he found a solution for me.

Appreciate I may not help everyone, but will hopefully help some. The profile for my original Bloster key is the same as a 'Reversed Universal' key and a JMA U5I has the same profile.

I've attached a stock picture of the key profile - had one cut and works fine Smiley

That's a good solution....and at a reasonable cost I imagine.
My friend in the local 'ferramenta' here who cuts keys (which I only go into for keys for the UK - I use one more local which doesnt cut keys for chainsaw sharpening and vine sundries  ) will be disappointed that his lucrative trade in key cutting @ €2 or €3 Euro a key will not be growing further!!!!
