Hi Kevin
Given your ability, hopefully should be a good buy at that money!

No doubt Jack is already reserving space in future Viva Lancias for your articles

It's great to know it has gone to such a good home but I wonder why you weren't tempted to spend another £3,400 and got one that didn't need the body tidying up? Just give me a shout if you need any of the body structure information from the workshop manual.

Still a few Lancia projects to do so the welder won't be getting lonely anytime soon! If that article is still in the pipeline Tim then yes, could be interesting.. I always do things the hard way Frank, plus I get to know what's underneath..I'm suspicious of cars that "have never been welded"..
Just tonight I collected a few missing parts from the 2000 Sedan I bought a few years ago and haven't done yet despite trying to find the enthusiasm, on looking back I've had it 4 years....must get on with it...

Haven't used the GT at all since getting it back last September. just parked it up and put a cover over it, mainly to stop bird poop and cat prints off it but also as I had no intention of using it over the winter. Took the cover off it today as it was a dry but cold day, thought I'd start it up to warm things through and move it up and down the drive to get the tyres onto a different spot and clean the brakes if nothing else. A completely flat battery changed that idea, and my charger is up at the unit, guess I should have been more pro-active and disconnected it last year...or started it up once a month. As it will eventually get the full strip-down treatment as per the FIRE car, sills already purchased, the I'm now thinking I ought to use it a bit more without worrying over the road conditions, not like it's going to change much of what will need doing! What also concerned me with it being under a car cover but not under any other shelter was the amount of condensation on the underside of the sunroof, if the rest of the roof has similar levels of water above the headlining then it can only spell trouble. I think I'd rather use the car and keep things circulating rather than cover it over for 6 months of the year. As it's very much roadworthy then it seems daft not to use it so I'll give it until March 1st then start using it whatever comes, Flavia coupe is next in line to get restored so it'll be a few years before the GT gets its' turn but no reason why I can't put a few thousand miles on it by then.

If you are going to do a complete rebuild on it eventually just get out there and use it. They're a smashing little car for commuting to work in.
