Looks nice David. RHD. Only the bodywork is shown. I wonder what the rest looks like?

Just spoke to Brooklands. It is LHD. Strange, I would have thought that the Classic Driver link describing the car as RHD was a direct link to the Brooklands website, but their website doesn't mention either RHD or LHD. Looks a very nice example though. Brooklands commission seems pretty reasonable at 10 % plus vat ( on the commission )

LHD? RHD? Just look at the size of that oil cooler... Love that casting to translate throttle rod movement to the cable, or is that the choke? Air filter looks like its off a Ferrari. The other side of the engine next to the brake booster is something else the same colour. I first thought "wiper motor" but now not so sure...

next to the brake booster is something else the same colour.
Its part of the brake booster secondary diaphragm and little air filter.

Another angle (different car, on Car and Classic). I hope nothing falls into that LHS rocker box breather vent

Is it a 2.5 or 2.8?
Very enticing estimate......are we missing something?

It's a 2.8. Buyer pays another 10% commission + vat on the commission

The auction listing says it is a 3B, so 2.5l. Checking the reg number on the DVLA web page says that it is a 2.5l too.

Yep - you live and learn. I thought that only the 2.8 models had air vents on the ends of the fascia but the later 2.5's must also have had them. Should have noticed that the cutaway for the gear lever on the drivers seat was not present on the 2.8 models and I think the drivers and passenger seats were the same shape ?

According to the Nada Editore book, 3B coupes were produced with 2.5 litres from autumn 1962 and then with 2.8 starting some time in 1963. Cesare
