Just arrived in time for Christmas my new Augusta. I never previously owned a Lancia and thought it time to put this right. So here it is freshly delivered from Italy. Now to contact the DVLA for a number.
Mike
That Augusta is rather special. Is there a story behind it, or did you just decide to jump off in the deep end ?

Yes - I'm very pleased with the car. I described how and why I bought it on the "Introductions" section of the private members area of the forum on Dec 1st. Four months of following up adverts on the Subito and other Italian web sites and getting information from vendors gave me a selection of cars which I thought worth looking at and my son kindly went out in November to inspect and try three of them. He only managed to see two and this one seemed the better car for me as it had been owned by an enthusiast since 1981 and seemed a decent car, not just tarted up for sale. I bought it without actually seeing it myself so its arrival just before Christmas was just a bit exciting! Our assessment of it turned out to be pretty good from what I have seen so far, although I'll have to wait for it to be registered (and the salt goes from the roads) before I can really try it. There is a Youtube video of the car from 2014 which shows it nicely, but turn the volume down at the start! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4QqDtb-SHQ Quite by chance I found a picture if the car with favourable comments by Doug Blain, in "The Automobile" December issue which, by complete fluke, also includes a 1970's picture of my other car, a 1925 French Salmson owned by me since 1984, in a piece about Andy Nahum who owned it at the time. Both are together in my garage - just a pity the Augusta does not speak French. Mike

My all time favourite picture of Modestine.
Le Mans 24hr 2007 and we were invited to participate in the Friday evening 'Cavalcade du Pilots' through the streets of Le Mans. We assembled for lunch just outside the town and returning to the car found an artist, Jean-Marie Guivarc'h, sketching it with all the details to be reproduced as a print. Somehow Margaret charmed him to sell her the drawing and she gave it to me on our wedding anniversary that year. The deal was that I copied it and sent it to Jean-Marie which I duly did.
I've checked his website from time to time but not found that he has produced the print.
The final picture is on the parade with a spectator wanting to have Margaret's hat!
Robin.

Our 2nd Delta pictured 3 days after delivery. It came with a rather strange looking orange coachline running above the handles and under the door glass. Not sure if this was 'factory' or maybe the supplying dealer got artistic whilst waiting for new business ? I've only just noticed a bullit hole above the front wheel arch just under the stripe
