Here's a few photo of my Cabin/Shed, I call it a cabin , Diane calls it a shed because it's got 2 doors instead of a window and a door. Much better in the summer when I have the doors open. Photos about 4 years old, (I'll have to take some more), It's what you might call a bit more "Stuffed" now. If you haven't got a big home this is one option Brian 8227

Very nice Brian - my shed (well, leaning wooden garage) is stuffed full of a cold little Ypsilon awaiting it's MOT, old filing cabinets and Saab wheeltrims. I can see a new thread starting here Lancisti and their outbuildings - I'll get the camera out this weekend! Is the Z plate in the photo the (Dutch?) import plate from your Ypsilon?

Hi Lee, Yes the Z plates were my transit plates when I brought the elefantino to her new home in 1999. I'll see if I can find a photo or two of her wearing them. I shall have to take up to date photos of my cabin as well, assuming, that is I can get in the door Brian 8227

I fear one is too modest Brian. That's no shed, its bordering on a Swiss cottage...do you offer time share options?

Hi William, I'm thinking about a Bed & Breakfast establishment but Diane said if anyone wants breakfast, you can cook it, which took a bit of the shine off the whole idea Brian

We've got a little shed shanty town - one friend joked that all we needed was a white Landcruiser and a pile of blue helmets and we'd be news worthy.
The reason is that if you want a garage - that's "a garage" in the very old fashioned sense of "a place for a car" - you need to FIRST build a "play house". My problem was it turns out they want to actually play in it (why didn't see that one coming... for all these days its called "the surf shack" or "club house" or "cafe") you then need to build a "kids shed" to put the cr@p in, and when that fills up and mum complains about the smell of petrol and them getting cuts off the lawn mower a "lawnmower shed", and then when the DIY tools and offcuts pile gets too big in there a "woodshed".
Next on the list is "an engine shed".
Another friend bought about five standard wee sheds, put them in a line, and painted them up like beach huts. They have one each or something so no complaints about his/her/their cr@p being in the way of or breaking something else.

The present mrs Scarpia could be usefully employed in the cooking dept.
Hmm the beginnings of a commercial idea
Lancia "theme weekends" at B&B chez Hilton.
It can have a mystery content too, "when will Lancia next have a best seller" etc

What's the going rate that Mrs Scarpia would require for her services? Local Attractions include. Stondon Transport Museum Very Eclectic collection ranging from Cars to Russian Missile Launcher to a " Flying Flea" & many other odd balls. http://www.aeroflight.co.uk/mus/uk/s-t/stondontransptmus.htm The Shuttleworth Collection Famous Airplane Collection and other attractions including flying days. http://www.aeroflight.co.uk/mus/uk/shut/shutlwth.htmWrest Park- English Heritage http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/server/show/nav.12008/chosenImageId/1Setting of the "French Chateau" in the recent film set in WW1- "Fly boys" About 6 miles away is the Old R101 Airship Hangers at Cardington, where some of the more recent "Batman" Films were made. And close by is the Tomb & Memorial to those who Perished. Really getting the feel for this Brian

This has to rank as craziest thread ever. I see someone mentions flying flea. These were underpowered aeroplanes produced during the mid thirties that rarely if ever made it into the sky. Clousten clipped the propeller of one such aircraft and at an air show allowed the public to have a go at £5 a time judging nobody could ever get airbourne. Of course the plan misfired! For more about this, record breaking, and the de Havilland Comet 88 now residing at Shuttleworth try to percure a copy of The Dangerous Skies. Probably the most evocative book written on the subject. Ordeal over the Alps etc. Wonderful Boys Own stuff.

I think the Flying Flea was also a Small cc motorcycle made by Royal Enfield, unless someone else knows different.
